This intensive program instructs ‘from ground-up’ and requires no previous piloting experience. Flying multiple types and sizes of UAV’s, students learn to disassemble, maintain, repair and launch/pilot/recover units on all types of command platforms. The extensive instruction includes hand-on and enhanced mission scenario training, such as global C&C satellite links, FLIR and LIDAR gimbles and night time operations with thermal optics.
Students live and train at the facilities with constant use of the tactical flight training C&C pods - flying through hundreds of interactive and competitive mission roles: recreational use, racing, mapping, inspection, security, surveillance, intelligence gathering, detecting and combatting forest fires, assessing and dissecting disaster areas, and emergency payload delivery. Classes are taught in modules to accommodate students needing to stage training around work schedules.
